What to Make of Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal

Tab Trade — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That should round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Here is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you commit.
